- ITPrepared, the company acquired by Bittnet Group in 2021, becomes Optimizor. With more than 6 years of expertise in the US market, the company has favorable outlook in the Romanian IT Managed Services* market with an education component.
- In a dynamic and competitive market, marked by staff shortages, Optimizor brings companies customized IT services, integrated into their own departments or completely outsourced.
- The Optimizor team is formed and specialized through training in the latest technologies and in highly competitive markets (like USA) and offers the highest quality assistance.
A year and a half after being taken over by the Bittnet Group, ITPrepared becomes Optimizor, a romanian company specialized in the delivery of managed and integrated IT services, specialized in advising on the implementation of digital and disruptive technologies.
With its customised working model and variety of solutions, the type of on-demand managed services that Optimizor offers to companies in search of IT support is an innovative system with fast response and optimised costs. It is also an adaptation and upgrade to a market where hiring, retaining and upgrading in-house IT specialists can be real challenges for companies, both in terms of costs and budgets allocated, including for ongoing training and time spent on solving technical problems.
In addition, the company aims, through its education component, to change the mindset of the Romanian IT industry by introducing the international managed IT services model.
The reality in the IT industry is a difficult one. According to INS and the study “The impact of the software and IT services industry in Romania’s economy, 2020”, conducted by the Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry (ANIS), Romania faces an annual shortage of 15,000 to 20,000 IT specialists, which is getting worse, while the IT universities cannot deliver more than about 8,000 graduates per year. This is also where the problem of migration comes in, as many specialists are either hard to keep in a company or choose to work abroad.
This situation calls for an intelligent strategy to meet the technical problems of companies in Romania and Optimizor offers them customized and efficient IT services. These include access to the services of an IT team made up of specialists with experience in competitive markets (such as the USA), access to the latest technologies (IT processes, applications, storage solutions, desktop and communications, mobility etc.), rapid response and support (helpdesk, technical assistance), access to license acquisition, IT infrastructure implementation, network monitoring, information security guarantee and recovery in emergency situations, access to specialized training.
“Optimizor stands for two things, both rooted in the word optimal: the optimization of processes and the overall experience related to managed services in IT, together with the ever-present need to optimize the use of resources. We want to change the industry’s mindset about IT managed services by meeting our customers needs with the latest technologies available, a friendly team and an innovative way of reporting”, says Alexandru Ana, CEO and co-founder Optimizor.
According to the ANIS survey, this sector remains highly competitive, high-performing and resilient, even in times of crisis. With the second largest contribution to Romania’s total services exports and €12.8 billion domestic economic output, the software and IT services (SW&IT) industry in Romania is the “star of the information and communications sector”, representing approx. The SW&IT industry contributes on average 3 times more to real GDP growth compared to its share in GDP. Every 1 euro of SW&IT production generates about 0.7 euro of direct contribution to GDP, while the national average is <0.5 euro. Also, 270 thousand jobs created in the national economy and every 10 employees in the software and IT services industry support another approx. 10.5 jobs in the national economy, the report said. The software and IT services industry had a significant average real annual growth (ca. 15%) in 2014-2019, well above the real growth of the national economy. Similarly, during the economic period marked by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the software and IT services industry, as well as the Information and Communications macro-sector as a whole, maintained an accelerated growth rate.
According to ANIS, this industry had the highest growth rate in the number of employees between 2015 and 2020, ranking in the Top 5 employing industries, and according to BestJobs, 2022 was the record year in recruitment, with over 400,000 jobs available on the online recruitment platform. The fields with the most job openings and most hiring were Sales, IT /Telecom, Engineering, Finance /Accounting and Manufacturing /Logistics.
Despite these attractive growth prospects, including demand for labour in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and SW&IT industry, with over 20,000 new jobs, there is a growing shortage of over 10,000 new ICT specialists in terms of annual supply versus demand. According to a survey conducted by Loginro among tech companies, in 2022 the Romanian IT market faces a shortage of around 25,000 professionals in the field, 10,000 more than in 2019. This shortage of specialists, as BestJobs points out, remains a problem and a challenge for 2023 in the IT, Healthcare and Technical fields.
In this context, Optimizor responds to these challenges faced by small, medium and large companies in search of IT specialists. With a team made up of specialists with continuous training in the latest technologies, Optimizor covers either a company’s entire IT service needs or only certain sectors.
